Jr. Wolves mark two losses

The Kal Tire Junior Wolves took it on the chin on the weekend, losing a pair of contests on the road. On Friday, the Jr. Wolves dropped a 9-5 decision to the Temiscaming Royals, despite taking a 3-0 lead into the second period.

On Friday, the Jr. Wolves dropped a 9-5 decision to the Temiscaming Royals, despite taking a 3-0 lead into the second period. Erik Belanger scored two goals, and Jeff Verreault, Devin Lockeyer and Zach McGillis all added one for the Wolves.

On Sunday, the Jr. Wolves dropped a 4-1 decision to the undefeated North Bay Skyhawks. North Bay outshot Sudbury 40-27. Verreault had the lone marker for the Wolves.

The Jr. Wolves will host the Temiscaming Royals for the first time on home ice this Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. The Royals are coached by former Sudbury Wolf Steve McCharles, who played for the OHL Wolves back in the early 80's. Wednesday's game will be played at the Centennial Arena in Hanmer.
