Seven members of the Sudbury Sprinters Speed
Skating Club competed in the first Ontario Cup Short Track
Event of the season recently in Cambridge and had some good
results.
Keegan Pitre turned in the best overall
performance by winning a silver medal. Her sister, Kaelyn,
managed fifth.
Six members have also now qualified for the
Provincial Short Track Championships, which will be held in
London in March 2006.
Both Pitre sisters qualified, along with
Stephan Ayotte, Keegan Pitre, Amber Ranich, and Carolyn
Hreljac.
The Sprinters take to the ice again in
Brampton on Nov. 20.
