The CIS and OUA have recognized 22 Laurentian athletes for their accomplishment in successfully mixing the two components.

Out of the eight teams that compete at the CIS level, a total of 21 student-athletes achieved Academic All-Canadian status, while one student-athlete from the two teams that compete at the OUA level was awarded the OUA Academic Achievement award for 2005-06.

Erica Duczeminski was one of 22 Laurentian University student-athletes who recently earned CIS Academic All-Canadian status.

To become an academic all-Canadian, students must maintain a grade point average of 80 percent or better while playing at least one recognized CIS varsity sport.
