MacKenzie latest to join Wolves Wall of Fame

The fans have spoken and the Sudbury Wolves have announced former captain Derek MacKenzie has been selected as the next addition to the Laking Toyota Wall of Fame. MacKenzie was chosen by the fans in balloting over the past several months.

The fans have spoken and the Sudbury Wolves have announced former captain Derek MacKenzie has been selected as the next addition to the Laking Toyota Wall of Fame.

MacKenzie was chosen by the fans in balloting over the past several months. MacKenzie will join the likes of Paul DiPietro, Ron Duguay, Mike Foligno, Randy Carlyle, Jamie Rivers and Don Beaupre, all who were selected to the Wolves' all-time All-Star team.

Others on the list of Wall of Fame players include Dale Hunter, Pat Verbeek, Glen Murray, Rod Schutt, Dave Farrish, Mike Fisher, Mario Chitaroni, Norm Milley and last year's inductee Jeff Brown.

During his Ontario Hockey League career, MacKenzie played 257 regular season games, scoring 95 goals, while adding 158 assists, for a total of 253 points. He accumulated 299 penalty minutes.
