Dowling KMAC held its recent grand opening with a black belt testing and ceremony.

Realizing his dream, martial artist Yvon Carriere has set up his own studio in Dowling.

Carriere has been teaching for more than 20 years in the region. It was his dream to build a private school to be able to offer more classes and offer a more personalized experience to students.

The Dowling Korean Martial Arts Centre is a member of the United Korean Martial Arts Alliance.

A grand opening was held recently, with Chief Master Gerry Fortin in attendance. Fortin opened his first school in Dowling in the 1970s, said a press release. The grand opening culminated in a black belt testing and ceremony.
