The Sudbury Nickel Capital Wolves continue with their winning streak after defeating the Nickel City Sons Wednesday evening 5-4 in overtime.
"We're pleased with where we are at right now," said general manager Albert Corradini. 
"Nickel City played a great game. Looks like they're definitely a team this year that's going to have to be dealt with all year long."
Andre Comtois started things off for the Nickel Capital Wolves with a goal in the first period assisted by Joshua Blacksmith.
Jordan Deppisch rounded things off for the Nickel City Sons as they headed into the second period with both teams on the board.
Joshua Blacksmith saw the back of the net twice in the second period along with Justin Lockeyer, who scored on a power play. Darcy Haines and Marc Bastien scored for the Nickel City Sons, along with Dexton Abresch, who tied things up in the third sending the teams into overtime.
With four seconds left in the overtime period, Denis Restoule won the game for the Nickel Capital Wolves.
The team will be on the road next week, where they will face the North Bay Trappers on Oct. 10 and a pair of games against the Sault Ste. Marie North Stars on Oct. 11 and 12.
The team faces the Trappers again in North Bay on Oct.19 before returning home.
Next home game will be on Oct. 22 with a repeat game against the Nickel City Sons. Game time is 7:20 p.m. at Countryside Arena.
