The Sudbury Wolves wrapped up the 2016-17 regular season by snapping a couple of streaks.

On Friday, March 17, the Wolves clinched a playoff berth for the first time in three years. On March 21, the Pack set another significant mark beating the Mississauga Steelheads at the Hershey Centre for the first time since February, 2014.

The Wolves clinched the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference and will play the Oshawa Generals in the first round of the OHL post season.

The win marks the end of the regular season and a season for the history books in Greater Sudbury.

Beginning with the purchase of the team by Dario Zulich, and then starting off red hot, the Wolves end the season on a three-game winning streak. The team has been through injuries, adversity and challenges throughout the year and is now focused on the next weeks and months of Wolves playoff hockey.

Game one against the Generals goes at 7:35 p.m. this Friday night in Oshawa at Tribute Communities Centre.

The two teams will meet again Sunday evening before returning to the confines of the Sudbury Arena for games three and four on Tuesday and Thursday, March 28 and 30, with puck drop for both games set for 7 p.m.

Game five will be played Friday March 31 in Oshawa (if necessary) before game six which goes April 2 for a rare Sunday evening game at the Sudbury Arena. Game seven will be back in Oshawa on Tuesday, April 4. Season ticket holders, and play-off ticket purchasers will note that the games played in Sudbury are called Home Game 1, 2 and 3 in their packages.

Wolves play-off home game tickets are on sale now at the Sudbury Arena Box office and are available online at greatersudbury.ca/tickets.

Avoid the play-off ticket line-ups and come down early and claim the edge of your play-off seat.
