For the first time since 1988, Sudbury will be hosting a Special Olympics powerlifting competition this weekend at Cambrian College.
For the first time since 1988, Sudbury will be hosting a Special Olympics powerlifting competition this weekend at Cambrian College.

The competition will take place Sunday, May 5 beginning at 10 am at Cambrian College?s Gymnasium A at the main campus on Barrydowne Road.

There will be close to 50 athletes, aged 18 and over, both male and female, participating in bench press and dead lift competitions. All athletes competing come from northeastern and eastern Ontario.

Admission is free of charge and everyone is welcome to attend.
