Rock climbing enthusiasts can attend a meeting tomorrow night (Wednesday) regarding organizing a climbing club in the region.
Laurentian University Outdoor Adventure professors are interested in starting a Sudbury chapter of the Alpine Club of Canada (AAC). The AAC is a climbing club that has been established for around 100 years and has 18 chapters across Canada.
The meeting takes place from 7:30-9:30 pm in the Ben Avery Building (physical education complex) and the Ken Bahnuk Lounge (main floor beside the Active Living office).
There will be a slide show, a discussion about the history of climbing in Sudbury, benefits of membership and other general information.
For more information about the meeting, call Laurentian University at 675-1151 and speak to Tim Kingshott (ext. 4881), Stephen Ritchie (ext. 1046) or Roger Couture (ext. 1023).
