The 37th annual House of Kin Sports Celebrity Dinner is set
to go for June 7, 2006. Tickets for the event are $35 and can
be purchased by going to the House of Kin, located at 1889
Regent St or by calling 522-3600.
Three finalists have been selected for the awards.
Amateur Male Athlete of the Year: Justin Bonhomme (boxing),
Frank Louiseize (swimming) and Brian McGarry (hockey).
Amateur Female Athlete of the Year: Amanda Kosmerly
(cross-country), Rebecca Johnston (track) and Lisa Furchner
(basketball).
Amateur Elite Athlete of the Year: Isabelle Perreault
(boxing), Meagan Duhamel (figure skating) and Devon Kershaw
(skiing).
Amateur Import Athlete of the Year: Cassandra Carpenter
(basketball), Kathryne Bobbie (Cambrian) and Alicia Kaye
(tri-athlete).
Professional Sports Person of the Year: Kara Ro (boxing),
Jeff Buttle (figure skating) and John Hastie (golf).
William Roman Administration Award: Mike Rowlandson
(hockey), John Dandenault (hockey) and Gord Apolloni (boxing).
Sheridan family Team of the Year: Lockerby Nordic Ski Team,
Jennifer Horgan curling rink and the Sudbury Junior Wolves.
Joe Drago Coach of the Year Award: Darryl Moxam (hockey), Randy Carlyle (hockey) and Dick Moss (track).
