The third annual Power Play for Easter Seal Kids event is taking place between 11 am and 4:30 pm as the Don Cherry?s Restaurant parking lot will be transformed into a street hockey stadium.

Teams from across the City of Greater Sudbury will face off in the one-day tournament, which features a four-on-four concept.

All money raised will support children and young adults with physical disabilities.

Just to make things more fun, all players will participate in the street hockey tournament wearing normal attire they would wear to the workplace.

Spectators and players will enjoy a fun day of street hockey, great food and camaraderie.

Fans and players alike can also bid on a variety of sports paraphernalia at the Power Play auction beginning at 5 pm inside Don Cherry?s Restaurant.

Numerous items, including professional hockey jerseys and jerseys from other professional sports, will be up for auction. Several retired NHL players will also be on hand to sign autographs.

For more information, phone the Easter Seal Society at 566-8858.
