Kristine Lalonde is the youngest member of the U-15 provincial team.
Kristine Lalonde made the Under-15 Provincial team after playing in the Nike Ontario Basketball Provincial Championships in Toronto. Lalonde represented Northern Ontario.

Lalonde, who will enter Grade 9 at Lasalle Secondary this fall, was selected from 144 players, and was a force during the tournament, leading in three-point shooting and was the overall leading scorer.

At 13, Lalonde is the youngest member selected.

Lalonde will compete in the National U-15 tournament in Calgary from Aug. 1-7.

Lisa Furchner, who plays for Lasalle Secondary, made the Provincial U-17 A team after an open tryout session down south.

Furchner will now play on the squad at the national championships, which take place in Saskatchewan in August.

Two other players, Amanda McDonald, who attends Lasalle, and Katie Goggins, who attends Lockerby, made the U-17 Provincial B team after playing in a junior tournament in Toronto.

McDonald and Goggins will travel to the United States to compete in two tournaments in Kentucky and Indiana.
