On Jan. 20, a single ticket will get you into three basketball games at Sudbury Arena.
Calling it “an unprecedented collaboration,” the Laurentian Voyageurs men's and women's basketball teams and the Sudbury Five are hosting a triple-header day of hoops at Sudbury Arena.
“This inaugural game marks the first-ever triple header for these teams, promising an action-packed day of basketball excitement for fans of all ages,” the teams said in a news release.
The event will feature back-to-back-to-back games starting at 1 p.m. that day.
“With the purchase of a single ticket, fans will have the unique opportunity to witness all three basketball games, making it an unbeatable value for sports enthusiasts.”
The two Voyageurs squads are taking on the Western University Mustangs, while the Five are hosting the Montreal Toundra.
"This Triple Header event is a testament to the unity and strength of our basketball community in Sudbury,” said Laurentian University Athletic Director Peter Hellstrom. “It's an extraordinary opportunity for fans to experience top notch basketball at multiple levels. We believe this event will foster a sense of camaraderie and pride within the Sudbury community."
The Voyageurs women’s team hits the court at 1 p.m., followed by the men at 3 p.m. The Five have a 7 p.m. tipoff that night.
Tickets are available for purchase online or at the Sudbury Arena box office, costing $5 for students and $15 for adults for all three games.
