Sudbury's Ellerton posts personal best time in 800-m

Greater Sudbury's Andrew Ellerton, placed first in the 800-metre race at the American Miler's Club High Performance Series meet in Indianapolis recently.

Ellerton's time of 1:46.07 was a personal best and met the Olympics B standard - he was only seven-hundredths from making the A standard.

Ellerton out-kicked American distance running star, Alan Webb, to win the race.

Ellerton's next race is in Victoria this Thursday. The Olympic Trials take place in Windsor from July 5 to 6.
