Approximately 2,000 signatures have been added to the online petition at www.open-ice.ca in support of the Multi-use Recreational Facility proposal.
Over 500 signatures have been collected on the paper petition, started at Skater's Edge.
On Friday night, at the Sudbury Wolves season opener, Paul Thususka and his business partner Derek Erickson launched their Blue Ribbon Campaign. They handed out these ribbons to the fans at the game for them to wear to show their support of the multi-use facility.
Attached to the ribbon is a tag that says, on one side "The Time Is Now," and on the other is the website so supporters can log-on to sign the petition.
