Hockey Canada released its roster for the Women's National team, and Sudbury's Tessa Bonhomme has made the squad.

Bonhomme, 21, was one of seven defenders named to the team, which will compete at the upcoming Four Nations Cup in Kitchener from Nov. 7 to 12.

Bonhomme, a five-foot-seven, 140-pound defenceman with Ohio State University, has never represented Canada at a World Championship or an Olympic event.

Canada will face off against Sweden, Finland, and the United States.

The Lasalle Secondary School graduate has gotten off to a great start with Ohio State.

In her first two games, Bonhomme recorded two goals and seven points to lead the squad in scoring.

She was recently named WCHA Defensive Player of the Week for her efforts.
