If you think you have the hardcourt chops to suit up for the Sudbury Five, the team is giving you a chance to put your money where your mouth is.

On Nov. 26 from noon to 3 p.m., the team is holding an open tryout at College Notre-Dame. The Five haven’t held open tryouts since their inaugural season in 2018-2019.

"The season is approaching, and the Five still have a few roster spots remaining,” said Sudbury FIVE  Head Coach and General Manager Logan Stutz. “I am excited to see who comes out and I hope to see  some great talent from Sudbury and all of Ontario. Many players lost opportunities due to Covid and this try-out gives them a chance to be seen."

Those interested in registering for the tryout can do so here or at TheFive.ca. The cost to register in advance is $100 plus HST,  or $150 (HST included) at the door.

Participants at the tryout are competing for two available training camp invites with a roster spot potentially up for grabs.

The Five regular season begins in January, 2023. Season memberships are on-sale now at the Sudbury Arena box office or online at greatersudbury.ca/tickets starting as low as $309 plus HST per seat, which includes 16 regular season games.
