Laurentian University's Candie Sabel finished
tenth in the 600-m event at the Ontario University Indoor Track
and Field Championships, contested this weekend in
Windsor.
Sabel's time of one minute, 39.95 seconds was
a two-second improvement on her personal best time. "I was
ranked 14th going into the meet, so I'm extremely happy with
this result," said Sabel in a press release. "My training this
season has been solid and I look forward to moving up in the
rankings next year."
Sabel also competed in the 300-m event,
finishing 18th.
Lindsy McNicholl also competed, finishing
13th in the women's 3000-m.
