The organization comprised of the Mayor and Council?s Committee on Seniors? Issues, the Sudbury and District Health Unit and the leisure services and planning sections of the city, launched Walking:

The Ultimate Medicine last week. The program is designed to encourage older adults to engage in regular exercise to maintain endurance, strength, balance and coordination.

The main strategy is to recruit and train volunteers who will form their own walking groups. Brochures, maps and trail guides will be provided to participants. For more information, phone 671-CITY (2489), ext. 3126.
