Wolves back home for games three and four playoff action

While the Sudbury Wolves are in Mississauga March 30 for game two action against the Steelheads, the pack will be back April 1 and 3 to continue round one of the series

The Sudbury Wolves are in Mississauga on March 30 for game two action, but the pack will be back home to host games three and four of the series, Monday, April 1  and Wednesday, April 3 with both games set for 7:05 p.m. 

The Sudbury Wolves showcased a defensive effort on Thursday night as they took the ice for game one of round one of the 2024 Ontario Hockey Playoffs against the Mississauga Steelheads. 

The Wolves went with Carolina Hurricanes prospect Jakub Vondras as their starting goaltender while Ryerson Leenders suited up in goal for the Steelheads. Vondras sealed a 3-0 shutout victory for the Sudbury Wolves in his  first career Ontario Hockey League playoff victory, his first career OHL playoff shutout, and his second overall career shutout in the league. 

With the victory the Sudbury Wolves hold a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven round one series, and will take to the ice for game two of the series against the Steelheads on Saturday, March 30 with a scheduled start time of 4 p.m. Fans can  watch the game on OHL live at https://watch.chl.ca/.

The April 1 game is sponsored by Gateway Casino, who will be on hand with great prizes and giveaways  for fans. The first 500 fans in attendance will receive thunder sticks and clappers. One lucky fan will also have the chance to shoot for $1000 courtesy of Gateway Casino. Wednesday’s game is sponsored by Tourism Sudbury, who will be on hand with great prizes and  giveaways for lucky fans.

Season ticket holders who purchased the playoff packages can access their tickets in their online digital  account or by visiting the box office to pick up printed tickets. Access cards will not be valid during the  playoffs.
