Wolves beat Plymouth 4-3

In a back and forth game, the Sudbury Wolves squeezed out a 4-3 win over the Plymouth Whalers on Friday night. Plymouth got on the board first with a power play marker from Jared Boll.

In a back and forth game, the Sudbury Wolves squeezed out a 4-3 win over the Plymouth Whalers on Friday night.


Plymouth got on the board first with a power play marker from Jared Boll. This was followed quickly by Akim Aliu's 17th of the season to tie it at 1-1.

The teams would again trade goals in the second frame. The newest Whaler Daniel Ryder notched his 31st of the season, again on the power play. Sudbury would answer back when Nick Foligno scored his 27th of the year, tying the game at 2-2 heading into the final period

The third would see the Wolves grab their first lead of the game when Justin Donati converted with the man advantage. Plymouth answered quickly, tying the game on Tom Sestito's 33rd goal of the year. Akim Aliu would score the eventual game winner on his second of the game.
