Wolves draw first blood but Rangers win in overtime

Pack heads to Hamilton to meet the Bulldogs tonight

The Sudbury Wolves were at Kitchener Memorial Auditorium on Friday, looking to sink their teeth into the Rangers. 

The Pack got started early when Shane Bulitka found the of the net five minutes into the first period. This was Bulitka’s eighth goal of the season. Zack Malik and Drake Pilon picked up the assists. 

The Wolves held the lead through the rest of the period.

The Rangers needed an in, which came eight minutes into the second on a goal by Rangers recruit Kole Sherwood. But a powerplay for the Wolves ended when David Levin scored to help the Pack retake the lead in the third.

The Rangers refused to quit though and Connor Bunnaman tied it up on the powerplay, which sent the game into overtime. 

A window of opportunity appeared for the Rangers only 38 seconds in and Joseph Garreffa end the Wolves' night. 

The Wolves come face-to-face with the Hamilton Bulldogs at the First Ontario Centre tonight. The puck drops at 7p.m.
