Wolves goalie Kevin Beech made 21 saves, while Barrie's puck stopper Andrew Perugini stopped 28 shots.

On Sunday, the Wolves were nipped 5-4 in shoot out by the Oshawa Generals.

It was a power play free-for-all, as both teams combined to score seven extra strength goals, with Sudbury potting three of them.

The teams exchanged goals and leads frequently throughout the entire game.

Oshawa took a late, third period lead, after John Tavares scored with just 3:02 left in the game. It was his second tally of the game.

Undaunted, Sudbury fought back when Kevin Baker popped the game-tying goal with just 33 seconds left in regulation.

Overtime settled nothing, so the clubs went to a shoot out.

Wolves' shooters Jesse Messier, Baker and Nick Foligno failed to find the back of the net.

Oshawa's first two shooters, Tavares and Dale Mitchell, were denied, but the third sniper, Vaclav Meidl scored the winner.

Akim Aliu finished with two goals and three points, and was named the game's second star. Tavares was the first star, while Baker was the third star.

Wolves defender Jonathan D'Aversa scored one goal and three points.

Dean Howard scored the two other goals for Oshawa.

Beech made 24 saves, while Oshawa goalie Carlo DiRienzo stopped 28 shots.

The two losses slammed Sudbury into the basement of the Central Division with a record of 4-6-0-1, good for nine points.

The Wolves occupy eighth spot in the Eastern Conference.
