Benoit Pouliot scored the game-winning goal in Sault Ste. Marie last night, leading the Sudbury Wolves to a 2-1 win over the Greyhounds.

With the win, Sudbury takes hold of second place in the Central Division, one point up on the Toronto St. Mike's Majors and Brampton Battalion yet still five points behind the Barrie Colts.

Pouliot's goal came on the powerplay with less than two minutes left in the second period. He now has 13 goals on the season.

The Greyhounds opened the scoring with a powerplay goal of their own in the first period only to surrender the game tying goal, courtesy of Stephan Blaho, and the eventually game-winner in the second.

Wolves netminder Kevin Beech continued his hot play of late, stopping 27 shots and backstopping the Wolves to their fourth straight road win.

The Wolves' next game is at the Sudbury arena this Friday as the Guelph Storm roll into town looking to avenge a 5-1 loss at the hands of the Wolves in their home barn on Nov. 11. Game time is at 7:30 pm.

In other Wolves news, catch Benoit Pouliot, Marc Staal and Jonathan D'Aversa as they represent the OHL and battle the Russian Selects tonight. The game is being broadcast live from Kitchener on Rogers Sportsnet at 7pm.

Elsewhere in the OHL, the Plymouth Whalers and the Belleville Bulls have pulled the trigger on a trade designed to shake up both team's rosters. The Whalers send Cory Tanaka along with a couple of second round draft picks to Belleville in exchange for Evan Brophey, Wes Cunningham and a fourth round pick in 2006.
