The Sudbury Wolves have partnered with the Northern Cancer Foundation for the Nov. 2 #HUNTINGFORACURE special jersey auction game against the Erie Otters.

This season, for the first time, the Wolves will be wearing special home jerseys with a Hunting Safety theme. Featuring home white jersey’s with bright orange safety vests sublimated on, the Wolves will be highly visible on the ice as they hunt the Otter goalies and look to light the lamp.

“We have had tremendous support from the community and are constantly looking to find novel ideas that relate to different people in our market,” said Wolves vice president of marketing Andrew Dale.

“Cancer affects everyone and this year, with our hunting theme, we thought this was a great way to highlight an important part of the northern lifestyle while at the same time recognizing the amazing work that the people at NCF do.”

The jerseys will be auctioned off following the game with the proceeds going to the Northern Cancer Foundation.

“The Northern Cancer Foundation is truly honoured to partner with the Sudbury Wolves for this great event,” said Tanys Laughren, Executive Director of the Northern Cancer Foundation.

“This will be a fantastic opportunity for attendees to watch great local hockey and support local cancer care at the same time. On behalf of the patients of the Northeast Cancer Centre, we say thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”
