The Sudbury Wolves will kick-off their final three-game stretch Dec. 14 leading into the Christmas break when the Plymouth Whalers come to town for their one and only visit to the Nickel City this season.

The Whalers attack is led by a trio of first-round NHL draft picks in Rickard Rakell (30th overall, Anaheim), Tom Wilson (16th overall, Washington), and Stefan Noesen (21st overall, Ottawa).

Rakell currently leads the Whalers in points this season amassing 30 points in 30 games.

The Wolves will then head on the road for a pair of divisional matchups.

The Dec. 15 game will see the Wolves take on the Niagara IceDogs for their third of six matchups on the season. The season series is currently tied up at one game apiece. The IceDogs enter the game tied with Belleville for second place in the OHL’s Eastern Conference. Game time is 7 p.m.

The Wolves will then head down the road to Mississauga for a 2 p.m. contest against the Steelheads. The Steelheads will be looking to avenge their 5-3 defeat to the hands of the Wolves on Dec. 7 as they face off in Game 3 of the six-game season series.
