On Sunday, the Wolves shattered the visiting Mississauga IceDogs 8-3 in front of 4,797 rabid fans at the Sudbury Arena.

The Wolves blew the game wide open in the second period with six goals in less than seven minutes to go up 8-1, and cruise to the 8-3 win.

It was revenge for the Wolves, who suffered an embarrassing 10-4 loss to the IceDogs on opening night.

Nick Foligno was the star, with two goals and four points, to lead the charge.

Newly acquired Justin Donati chipped in with one goal and three points.

Sebastian Dahm started his first game for the Wolves since being picked up at the deadline from Sarnia, and was solid, making 20 saves.

Also lighting up the scoreboard were Matt Dias with two goals and three points, Kevin Baker with two goals and Patrik Lusnak with one goal and three points.

Defender Zach McCullough, who Sudbury also nabbed at the deadline from Owen Sound, showed real promise with one assist and a + 5 rating.

On Friday night, the Wolves hosted the Toronto St. Michael's Majors and gave them a dose of offensive flair as well.

Sudbury came alive in the second period, with three goals in less than three minutes to ignite the rampage.

Donati scored a short-handed and a power play goal while adding an assist, to lead the way for Sudbury. His second tally was the eventual game winner.

Foligno finished the game with four assists. McCullough, Adam McQuaid, with two goals, and Patrik Lusnak also scored for Sudbury.

Michael Swick was in the net for Sudbury, and he made 22 saves for his fourth win of the season.

Toronto got goals from Matt Caria and Matt McCready.

With the wins, Sudbury kept pace in the Eastern Conference and have a record of 20-17-2-4, good for third in the Central Division and fourth overall in the conference.

The Wolves are back in action on Tuesday night when they host the red-hot Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds, who have won five straight games.

Game time at the Sudbury Arena is 7:30 pm.
