Wolves still seek first win in 2007

The Wolves lost both games in the shoot-out, meaning they receive a point in the standings for each loss. Sudbury's shoot-out record is 1-4 on the season. With a record of 18-16-2-4, the Wolves sit in fourth place in the Eastern Conference with 42 points.

On Friday, The Wolves and the Colts skated to a 1-1 tie after regulation. Andrew Self opened the scoring for the Wolves with a powerplay goal with less than five minutes remaining in the second period. Barrie winger Richard Clune tied the game 20 seconds later.

In the shoot-out, Clune and Kris Sparre scored for Barrie while Kevin Baker and Nick Foligno were stopped by Andrew Perugini. 

On Saturday, the Wolves were stymied again in the shoot-out as all three skaters, Devin DiDiomete, Matt Dias and Kevin Baker, were stopped by Greyhounds' goalie Kyle Gajewski. Dustin Jeffrey scored the winner for Sault Ste. Marie.

Sudbury's next game is Jan. 10 in Mississauga versus the Ice Dogs. The Wolves' next home game is Jan. 12 against the Toronto St. Michael's Majors.  Game time is 7:30 pm.
