The Knights added to their lead early in the second period on a goal by Philip McRae. The Wolves did cut the lead to one on a goal by Gerome Giudice with assists from Jared Staal and Frankie Santini, but the Knights regained their two goal lead on a power play marked by John Carlson and entered the second intermission with a 4-2 lead.
