The Sudbury Wolves have announced the acquisition of 19-year old forward Andrew Self from the Belleville Bulls.

In exchange, the Wolves traded Saginaw's 2nd round draft pick in the 2007 OHL Priority Selection. The Wolves had acquired this pick in the Ryan McDonough deal in 2005.

Self, 6'3", 200 pounds, played his first OHL game in 2004-05 with the Spitfires. The next season he was sent to the Bulls where he tallied 10 goals and 23 assists in 59 games.

Self has tallied nine goals and added five assists in 20 games so far this year. Self broke into the league as 9th round pick of the Windsor Spitfires in 2003.

"Andrew is capable of playing the penalty kill and power play, he will step right in and be an instant asset to the team," said Wolves general manager and head coach Mike Foligno in a news release. "He is a well respected player in the dressing room and is a perfect fit for our club."

The new acquisition will make his Wolves debut this Friday (Nov. 24) when Sudbury hosts the Ottawa 67's at the Sudbury Arena. Game time is 7:30 pm.
