Ignite your holiday spirit with wonder and magic in Downtown Sudbury! From spectacular lighted floats to the best gifts under the tree, make Downtown Sudbury your destination for Everything Christmas this season:
Sudbury Santa Claus Parade
Since 1999, downtown Sudbury has provided the official landing strip for Ol’ St. Nick and his sleigh, with festive music, colourful characters and brilliantly lighted floats leading the way. The annual lighted parade is Sudbury’s official kick-off to the holiday season, bringing the community together for a magical evening of love, laughter and plenty of ‘oohs’ and ‘aahs’ as the beautifully illuminated floats pass by.
This year’s parade theme is “Sudbury Sporty Christmas”, so be on the lookout for your favourite sports teams and plenty of festive fun along the way. The excitement begins with a dynamic fireworks display at dusk, then the parade begins at 5:30, traveling west on Ste. Anne, south on Elgin, east on Larch, north on Durham, east on Elm, and finally north on Notre Dame. Bring your lawn chairs and cozy blankets and welcome Santa to Sudbury in grand style on Saturday November 18!
