The company is currently looking to fill two key positions at their store on 800 Barrydowne Road:

  • Sales Associate
  • Retail Warehouse Associate

Sales Associate

  • Full-time
  • Salary: Commission Based - Approx. $40,000.00-$80,000.00 per year 

The Sales Associate is a dynamic and results-driven individual who enjoys working independently and within a team.

In this position, there will be opportunities to grow and develop and to make an impact while working for a high-performing organization. The Sales Associate is a solution-finder who enjoys helping guests find the perfect furniture, bedding, appliances or home accents. They will convert guest opportunities into results, using superior interpersonal skills.

Job duties:

  • Exhibit outstanding communication skills to uncover guests’ needs and assist them in purchasing the right solutions for their home.
  • Draw on selling skills to develop long-term guest relationships.
  • Meet or exceed established goals.
  • Take pride in the appearance of the store and together with the entire team ensure that the store is always neat, clean and well-maintained.
  • Be knowledgeable about the competition’s collections, pricing and service models.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Proven selling skills preferably with two years sales experience in a retail environment, or a desire to learn
  • Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated and driven with a focus for excellent guest service
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of MS Office products and the ability to learn in-house computer programs
  • Must be flexible to work days, evenings, and weekends
  • Completion of High School, post-secondary education preferred

Retail Warehouse Associate

  • Full-time
  • $16.55 an hour

The Retail Warehouse Associate is responsible for keeping inventory levels on the sales floor at a maximum. They will assist the Visual Merchandiser with moving and arranging product on the showroom floor.

They are also responsible for all aspects of warehouse product flow, including the setting-up of product, wrap and store-purchased product until customer pick-up or delivery. Other duties include housekeeping and cleaning of the store and showroom.

Job duties:

  • Maintain floor inventory by arranging the showroom floor and setting-up incoming product. Transfer product from warehouse to floor, monitor incoming product for structural integrity and/or flaws.
  • Remove sold product from floor, wrap and store until customer delivery or load product into customer vehicle for customer pickup.
  • Communicate daily or weekly as needed with the Visual Lead or Manager to coordinate efforts in prioritizing work for readying the floor for incoming merchandise.
  • Responsible for the clerical side of the warehouse operation, documenting product receipt.
  • Receive and distribute and/or install parts that are ordered for repairing floor samples.Organize and maintain the showroom floor and work areas, performing general housekeeping duties, including custodial duties and maintaining cardboard trailer/dumpsters. Keep the backroom warehousing area neat and clean.
  • Building maintenance, completing simple repairs.
  • Complete and submit weekly warehouse checklist.
  • Maintain reliable attendance.
  • All other duties and special projects as assigned.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Warehouse functions
  • Hand tools
  • Ability to use some industrial machinery
  • Proper methods for lifting/stacking and leverage
  • Basic Computer functions
  • Strong product knowledge
  • Detail-oriented
  • Manually unload and load product repeatedly from semi-trailers
  • Ability to communicate with others
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license

Job type:

Permanent salary:

  • $16.55 per hour
