Couples in Sudbury looking for a special date night, do not despair.

FunandFaith Date Night is back, and better than ever!

“Like so many events, FunandFaith had to shut down due to the worldwide pandemic, but we are thrilled to announce we are back, under new leadership, and starting things off with a bang with a very special Date Night tour featuring clean comedy comedians Joey ILO, Christian McCartney, and Timmy Boyle, here in Sudbury,” enthused FunandFaith spokesperson, Eric Spath.

Joey ILO started performing as a musician and songwriter when he was 11 years old. At age 26, he decided to follow in his parent’s footsteps and begin a career in comedy (his parents were real, honest-to-goodness clowns).

In his first year as a comedian, Joey was named the regional winner of the Sierra Mist Search for the Next Great Comic and appeared on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, season 5. Joey’s a high-energy comic who’s been touring coast to coast. His perspective and family experiences are as unique as his last name. Joey’s vision is to do a clean show so that anyone and everyone in the family can enjoy.

Christian McCartney began doing standup at age 19 in Baltimore, Maryland. His comedy is a combination of animated storytelling, energetic characters, and pure entertainment. Christian can be seen live on stage touring the country as well as on Instagram, Facebook, and Tiktok where he has 5 million followers from around the world. He is best known for his “talking some smack” sound which went viral in 2021 and has been used by the NFL, NBA, as well as numerous celebrities.

Timmy Boyle has established himself as one of the fresh must-see stars of comedy since 2007. He has received rave reviews for his unique comedy styling, as emcee or headline act, at various events in Canada and the United States. With comedic influences such as Bob Newhart and Jack Benny, Timmy strives for a classic experience. Timmy has been a featured performer on the nationwide Date Night Comedy Tour and can be seen regularly across Ontario as founder and host of The Circuit: Canada’s first clean comedy circuit.

“FunandFaith is so pleased to be able to present these fantastic comedians to our fans in Sudbury, and across Canada, during the month of February,” said Eric. “We hope we will see everyone there for a great night of clean comedy, and a fantastic date night experience.”

Sudbury Date Night is Sunday February 4 at 6 p.m. at All Nations Church, and tickets start at just $20 per person, with VIP passes at $50 per person. You can purchase your tickets here.
