Dynamic Earth is not holding back.

This year’s Halloween event is set to be unlike any other. The annual October spectacle is introducing several new activities and ticket packages, ensuring that even repeat visitors will find fresh thrills.

Three All-New Pumpkin Sets

Dynamic Earth has always been at the forefront of interactive science experiences, but this year, they've added a new dimension to their Halloween festivities. "We're excited about the three new pumpkin sets debuting this year," notes Melissa-Rose Thompson, Science Program Specialist at Dynamic Earth.

As part of the thousands of pumpkins on display at Pumpkinferno, visitors can expect to see underwater creatures, hockey players, and a groovy dance party scene - all illuminated on a scenic outdoor trail.

Family Friendly Indoor Activities

Beyond Pumpkinferno, Dynamic Earth has ramped up its indoor offerings. Thompson was careful not to give too much away but did share, "We have new flavours this year for our Bug Bistro, including cotton candy and pumpkin spice-flavoured crickets."

Kids can also look forward to games like the Halloween-themed 'Ore Toss,' a new family-friendly haunted maze, and an enlightening activity on ghost hunting that delves into the science behind the tools used.

An Expanded Copper Cauldron

The popular Copper Cauldron area, where visitors can enjoy fire pits, hot chocolate, and s'mores has been notably expanded.

"We're going to have more fire pits available for people this year so everyone can enjoy a treat by the fire to really make the night special," Thompson remarked.

Special Guest Appearances

Adding to the flair of the event, Ontario author Jeremy John will perform specialty readings from his spine-chilling children’s books on select nights.

A Word on Tickets and Timing

The event will run every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evening from October 6 to 29, from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

For those interested in flexibility, Dynamic Earth is introducing a limited amount of "Flex Tickets," which allow visitors to show up any night the event is running at a time that works for them as opposed to having to commit to a date and time in advance.

Practical Advice for Attendees

For those wondering what to wear, Thompson advised, "Dress for the weather if you want to be outside and really appreciate the sets." She also cautions about the trail's lower lighting and recommends proper footwear.
