At Moetus Health, words like “transformation” and “growth” are more than marketing buzzwords. They are the very foundation, and the future, of the company itself. Because much like the clientele it serves, Moetus Health has grown, transformed, strengthened and evolved since it first opened thirteen years ago.

Owner and Somatic Therapist Jenine Saunders launched Pilates Pro Rehabilitation & Conditioning Centre in May 2010. The original facility offered a combination of traditional physiotherapy with state-of-the art technologies to treat severe and chronic pain, but Jenine’s vision of providing an integrated approach to emphasize optimal movement quickly outgrew that original 500 square foot studio at the corner of Cedar and Elgin.

Business flourished, additional therapists class instructors joined the team, more equipment was brought in, and Jenine saw it was time for a transformation. The new facility would provide Sudbury alternatives to standard rehabilitation and conditioning services, to a well-rounded approach to overall health.

In August 2018, the name was changed to Moetus Health to better represent their own evolution in health care and then in August 2022, Moetus Health moved to its current location at 2037 Long Lake Road.

Movement is Health

The word “moetus” is derived from the Latin term for “movement”. Saunders has built Moetus Health on the passionate belief that movement is the route to a speedy recovery, improved health, and an overall sense of well-being. Clients become empowered to experience transformation through movement and mindfulness.
