The ho-ho-holidays have arrived in the downtown core! The lights are up, music fills the air and spirits are bright as Downtown Sudbury comes to life with seasonal splendor and shopping galore.

Throughout the month of December, the Downtown BIA has a full calendar of special events, prizes and more fun in store.


Whether you’re searching for a culinary basket for your favourite foodie, a gift card for the person who has everything, or the season’s hottest toys, you’ll find it all in Downtown Sudbury. And because it’s always nice to give and to receive, you might end up with something fabulous for yourself, too.

Visit your favourite Downtown Merchants and enter a ballot to win a prize package filled to the brim with gift certificates from participating businesses. There are three winners each week and up to $5000 in prizes to be won. Contest ends Tuesday, December 19.


Downtown Sudbury is sharing the holiday spirit with gifts for downtown shoppers.

To receive your gift, just spend $75 or more (before taxes) at downtown businesses, including the Sudbury Market. Then, bring your receipts to the 115 Larch Street on Saturday December 9 and 16 from 10am to 2pm to receive your gift, while quantities last.


Get ready to say ‘cheesecake’ and put some Elfie in your Selfie with fun and festive holiday installations!

Downtown merchants have been transformed to Winter Wonderlands, Toyland Towns and even a Santa’s Workshops, to give you some truly spectacular Instagram-able Moments.

Skip the holiday hustle and leave more time for festive fun by planning where you park.

With many municipal parking lots as well as street parking available, shoppers have plenty of options for easy access to downtown merchants and holiday activities. Parking is free at all municipal lots on weekends and weekdays after 6pm, and at parking meters on weekends and weekdays after 5pm.
