The esteemed Palladino Auto Group took over ownership of local gem Sudbury Boat & Canoe on July 1, 2022.

The business has been a cornerstone of the community since 1920 and the Palladino Auto Group is its fourth owner in just over a century.

What does this mean for the province’s boating and outdoor adventure enthusiasts? They can expect an even greater level of product knowledge and personalized service from their long-time favourite marine and powersports dealer.

For years, customers have flocked here from a wide geographical area to shop. It has also always been a go-to for top-notch reliable service.

“The service and the people here have a long-time following of customers,” says Patrick Regan, General Manager. “People come here from far away because of that.”

What’s hot right now

Currently in the height of the summer season, everything seems to be selling well, including O’Brien paddle boards and water toys. “Boats, ATVs, outboard motors…,” says Regan. “Customers want more product—and so do we.”

Whether you’re a first-time boater or an experienced one, their professional sales staff can help you find the right vessel. They’ll take into account where you will be using the boat, how you will be using it and what other options you might want to consider.

Perhaps thanks in no small part to the pandemic, more people have been wanting to get outdoors and get out onto the water. Staff are seeing more millennials start to get into boating and ownership, and it’s always encouraging to see a growing interest in the boating lifestyle.

There are several spectacular boating destinations close to Sudbury Boat & Canoe, including Long Lake, Ramsey, Nepahwin, Wanapitei and Penage. Staff are only too happy to make recommendations, of course, and suggest their own favourite spots.

Service & repair

The shop sells Suzuki, Mercury and Yamaha outboards. Many don’t realize that the shop also services all makes of boats. “We can do warranty work on any of those outboards, regardless of where you purchased them,” says Regan.

To keep you out on the water and getting the most out of the summer, the store also carries a wide selection of parts and accessories.

Year-round fun

Of course, the excitement around the shop isn’t solely driven by the warmer temperatures. Many are already looking ahead to the winter months. “The Arctic Cat redesigned snow machines are highly anticipated,” says Regan.

The business has always been the place to go for top-notch sales and service, and the Palladino Auto Group is keen to make its mark. The shop is conveniently located near Espanola, Manitoulin, Blind River, Elliott Lake, Sturgeon Falls, North Bay and Sault Ste. Marie and welcomes customers from all over the province.
