New for 2022 is the striking Onyx edition. It features blacked-out trim, 20-inch alloy wheels that are black, as well as black exterior side mirrors, front grille and other exterior components. On the inside, there are black accents as well, including a new seat covering material called StarTex—it is durable, water-repellant and easy to clean.
Other great features include keyless access with a push-button start, a power tailgate, a heated steering wheel and automatic reverse braking. The 2022 Ascent offers 260 hp @ 5,600 rpm, a sizeable cargo area with 2,435 L capacity, a free three-year trial subscription to SUBARU STARLINK® Connected Services on most models, and a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with memory function.
There are also options on certain models that include an 8-inch touch-screen infotainment system with GPS navigation. It includes a 14-speaker Harmon Kardon® audio system, SiriusXM® Satellite Radio with Travel Link® and Traffic—a free three-month trial subscription is included—Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility as standard, and Bluetooth connectivity.
