The Sudbury Kinsmen Showcase Sweepstakes is one of the hottest tickets in town. For as little as $100, you have a chance to win a grand prize showcase home, including a bonus package valued at over $850 thousand.

The Open House for the Sweepstakes at 114 Hazelton Drive in Minnow Lake begins Oct. 6. Walking through this gorgeous home you’ll notice architectural simplicity, attractive interior colours, and appealing finishes. The showcase home was designed by Centreline Architecture, built by Zulich Homes, decorated by Interiors by Nicole, and furnished by Leons Sudbury.

“It’s everything you would want in a home,” said Showcase Coordinator, Mary Jane Drury. “We’re very happy to be back doing another home.”

Building the showcase home was a little more challenging this year, due to manufacturing delays and materials shortages. In 2020, the Kinsmen Club decided against holding the sweepstakes because the pandemic restrictions would make holding an open house difficult. “We chose to put public health and safety over the sweepstakes," Drury said.

Drury credits their many sponsors, who have donated their time and skills over many years for the sweepstakes’ success “We’re very fortunate to have long-standing sponsors and trades people who have offered their labour and huge discounts on fixtures.”

There are dozens of prizes to be won, in addition to the Grand Prize Showcase Home. The Early Bird Draw is Nov. 24 and the Grand Prize Draw will be held Dec. 1. Tickets are $100; packages of three tickets are $200; six tickets can be purchased for $300. Each ticket purchased is eligible for every draw.

This year, the Kinsmen Club of Sudbury is introducing its first ever 50/50 draw. The maximum prize is $300,000 and there are limited tickets available. A ticket is $10, package of 3 is $25 and 5 tickets are $40.

The proceeds from The Kinsmen Club of Sudbury Sweepstakes this year will support 12 different charities within Greater Sudbury. Over 37 years, millions of dollars have been raised to assist people within the community. Mary Jane Drury said, “I am proud of the support our sweepstakes programs generate. Being a Kinsmen member is a rewarding experience.”
