Video: Sudbury man saves chipmunk from strangulation

Uses safety knife to free chippy's head from netting

Owner of Paradise Lawn, Ricky Paradis, and his employees were busy tending to a customer's lawn when they spotted a chipmunk dart across the driveway and ended up getting tangled in a badminton net.

"I quickly ran over to see if I could help him." Paradis told Sudbury.com

"The little chipmunk was in a panic and was suffocating."

In the video, you can hear Paradis trying to calm the frightened chippy down as he used a safety knife to remove the netting which was wrapped around the chipmunk's neck.

"I was pumped when I saw he was still alive and that we saved him."
