It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of Livia (née Tassi) in Italy on Saturday, September 25th, 2021 at the age of 82 years.

Daughter of the late Vicenzo and late Antonella (née Perrochi) Tassi. Loving wife of 65 years to Nicolo Faggioni. Cherished mother of Fernando (Lucia), Caterina (Sasha) of Italy, Roberto Faggioni, and Liana (Mario) of Italy. Beloved nonna of Melissa Faggioni-Huard, Nico Faggioni of Italy, Amanda Markiewich (Thomas), Alessio Faggioni of Italy, Nicholas Faggioni (Megan), Giulia, and Francesco of Italy.

Bisnonna of Mia of Italy, Dax, Ellia (Sudbury), and Alessandro of Italy. Predeceased by her siblings, Felice (Anna), Domenico (Irma), Pietro-Moro (Lina), Evo (Rosa), and Nadia (Franco Faggioni). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Livia and her first-born son, Fernando, immigrated to Sudbury in 1961, reuniting with her husband who moved to Sudbury one year prior. Livia loved to sing and enjoyed cooking great family meals. She was a great cook who worked at Roma restaurant, Cortina Pizza, and Stella D’oro. She most fondly remembers her years working at the Laurentian hospital meeting many co-workers that became some of her closest friends, before moving back to Italy with her husband, Nicolo in 1996.

Livia loved coming home to Sudbury nearly every summer until falling ill. May the light of her life shine brightly on us all.
