ATV driver charged with impaired after rollover near Huntsville

A man that rolled his ATV near Huntsville faces impaired driving charges.

OPP say on Saturday July 1, around 9:30 p.m. they were called about an ATV rollover at Jingo Lake Road in Huntsville.  

Emergency Services found a woman between two trees, but initially was not able to find the driver or the ATV.

Investigation determined the driver had left the scene and taken the ATV back to get help.  

Police say the driver had been driving the ATV at a high rate of speed and that he had been drinking.  

As a result, a 20-year-old man from Brant County was charged with Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle. 

The female passenger was taken to a local hospital with non- life threatening injuries.

Gossebyrne will appear in court in Huntsville on August 2, to answer to his charges.
