Canada-wide warrant issued for Thunder Bay murder suspect

Thunder Bay Police have issued a Canada-wide warrant for Charles Casmey, accused of second-degree murder in McLaughlin Street incident.

THUNDER BAY - Thunder Bay Police have issued a Canada-wide warrant for a suspect in the city’s second homicide of 2018.

Charles Norman Casmey, 31, is wanted for second-degree murder and assault causing bodily harm in connection with a violent incident at a McLaughlin Street home early Monday morning.

According to Police, a 63-year-old man was found deceased at the home and a 25-year-old woman was injured and treated in hospital. She has since been released.

Police identified Casmey as the primary suspect. He may have access to firearms and is considered armed and dangerous. The public is advised not to approach him if seen.

The warrant states that Casmey is involved in gang and drug subculture and has connections to Winnipeg, Man.
