No injuries have been reported after an explosion damaged two garages in the Town of Kapuskasing Sunday evening.
In a press release, the Kapuskasing OPP did not provide any explanation for the explosion, saying the investigation is ongoing, and that police would provide updates as they become available.
The incident took place at around 10 p.m. Feb. 4 on North Street.
All of North Street, as well as parts of Golf Street and De L'Etang Boulevard, were evacuated after the explosion.
Witnesses at the scene reported a strong odour of natural gas following the explosion.
Residents who required assistance were asked to go to the town's Civic Centre.
