THUNDER BAY -- Thunder Bay Police are investigating a bizarre discovery in the Neebing River near Simpson Street.
Early Monday afternoon, a pedestrian noticed a prosthetic leg floating in the water close to the Simpson Street and Northern Avenue intersection.
Thunder Bay Fire Rescue dispatched a boat to the scene.
Police said that in addition to the prosthetic leg, they recovered a backpack containing a pair of pants and a Tylenol bottle from the vicinity.
A spokesperson said it's too early to determine if the items are linked to any known investigations.
