With summer on the way, the Ontario Provincial Police have a reminder for area drivers: Studded winter tires must be off all vehicles before June 1.
Studded tires can only be used in the province between Sept. 1 and May 31.
Quebec is the lone province where winter tires are mandatory, though all Canadian provinces recommend installing winter tires when the temperature drops below 7 degrees Celcius.
