Now that most of the snow is gone, Mom and I have been exploring around the yard some more.
I was so absorbed in all the new odours, that before I noticed where I was exploring, I wandered into the emu pen. I came upon the emu foot, and felt the hair on my back rise.I looked up, up and up, and there was an emu looking down on me. Gulp.
I heard some yelling and in a few moments realized it was my mom, so I started running in circles, and so did the emu! We were both running in circles and when I noticed mom by the gate opening, I bee-lined it to her arms! I was safe. I was not going to die today.
Once my heart rate returned to normal, I saw our resident ravens, perched on the gate, laughing at me. Phftt!
