Beginning last Thursday, Cambrian College’s downtown Open Studio presents Dennis Castellan: New Paintings.

An opening reception is planned on Nov. 10 from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. The exhibit will remain on display until Dec. 4.

Dennis Castellan is a local artist and architect who has been exhibiting his art since 1987. This latest exhibit stakes out a new and evolutionary direction in his work, exploring the human figure and the space it occupies as notions of line and colour.

Castellan combines flat, thin colour planes and a more deliberate drawn figure to create a space with a quiet and soft tension.

For details on the opening reception and this exhibit, contact Leesa Bringas, Open Studio Technician, at [email protected] or 705-566-8101, ext. 6323, or visit The Open Studio on Facebook.

Admission is free; donations are always accepted. Exhibit hours are 12 p.m. - 3 p.m. Wednesday to Saturday, 12-3 p.m.

Open Studio will be open Sunday, Dec. 4, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. for Downtown Sudbury Art Crawl.
