Got the Olympic fever? Head over to the Sudbury YMCA on Monday, Feb. 19 for the Family Day Games.
The organization is kicking off their Strong Kids Campaign this Family Day with some Winter Olympic fun.
There will be activities for all ages, available from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. including bouncy castles, obstacle course, relay races, squash, ping pong, Wii Sports, Strong Kids Competition, swimming, photo booth, and a bake sale.
Admission is free with a donation to the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign. This campaign helps people of all ages by providing access to financial assistance to participate in YMCA programs and services.
This means giving a family a place to get active with a health and fitness membership, teaching a child to swim, providing a senior with the opportunity to stay fit and socially connected, or give young people the chance to experience a YMCA day camp.
In 2017, YMCA assisted one in four kids, along with many families and adults, in the Sudbury area.
"Our fundraising goal for 2018 is to raise $230,000 to continue to support those in need," said a YMCA news release. "To do that, we need our community to help us out. Anyone can help by simply joining in the fun on Feb. 19 for Family Day."
