Brother has message for Local 598 - Glenn Boyd

Once again the word "strike" echoes amid the coffee shops and restaurant walls, in Greater Sudbury. For the members of the Mine Mill-CAW Local 598, uncertainty is probably the only thing in their minds.

In the event of a strike if a member of Mine Mill must work to make ends meet, please consider that everyone is entitled to "representation" (to join a union), from a store clerk, truck driver, construction trade or manufacturer.

No company is too small.

Therefore, I suggest that, if in desperation you must work in this non-union environment, think of the people working next to you and please do not hamper organizing efforts of other trade or retail/commercial unions.

Contact their labour representatives and show your support.

You can return to a better paying job, with shift premiums, bonus' and benefits, once a settlement has been reached.

Let's show them how strong a "union-town" Greater Sudbury really is.
